This page explains how CK-Travelers Australia handles client funds in relation to travel bookings.

1. How we handle your money

CK-Travelers Australia acts as a disclosed travel agent. When you pay us for travel services, we collect funds on behalf of travel suppliers (airlines, accommodation providers, tour operators, etc.) and remit those funds to suppliers in accordance with our agency agreements.

2. Payment to suppliers

Upon receipt of your payment, we arrange for payment to the relevant suppliers to confirm and secure your booking. In many cases, we pay suppliers immediately upon booking confirmation, particularly for airline tickets and non-refundable bookings.

3. Trust obligations

As an ATAS-accredited travel agency (or pending accreditation — see footer), we comply with ATAS requirements regarding the handling of client funds. We handle client funds with integrity and in accordance with our legal obligations.

CK-Travelers Australia maintains separate accounts for business operating funds and client funds where required by our agency agreements with suppliers.

4. Your protection

To protect yourself when booking travel:

  • Use a credit card where possible: Credit card payments may provide additional protection via chargeback rights if a supplier fails to deliver services
  • Purchase travel insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance can cover financial losses due to supplier insolvency, trip cancellation, and other events
  • Keep your booking confirmations: Retain all booking confirmations and receipts from CK-Travelers Australia and suppliers as evidence of your bookings
  • Book ATAS-accredited agents: Our ATAS accreditation (pending approval) provides an additional layer of consumer protection through the ATAS dispute resolution process

5. Receipts and documentation

We provide written confirmation of all payments received and bookings made. Please ensure you retain all documentation provided by us. If you have not received a booking confirmation or payment receipt, please contact us immediately.
